The Influence of Computers in Education

Computers have become a very important part of our everyday lives, we can find them in our pockets, our bags and even in our kitchen. But the most important place computers have really helped is in the classroom.

Computers allow students to perform good research and also communicate with different education providers. This help students understand the topic better by experiencing different forms of teaching. Computers also help teachers in tutoring  students. Teachers can also communicate with students using the computer. Teachers can form a group chat and interact with the students, also teachers can post homework online, and all students have to do is just go online, answer those question and hit submit. This also saves paper, making us save more trees. When students get projects, computers help students perform extensive research which gives them a wide range of answers to solving that problem.

Influence of computers on communication:

The current suspicion of 'inhuman' computers and sophisticated communication equipment will disappear as a result of a greater awareness of the considerable contribution they can make to bring- ing people closer together and to facilitating contacts between groups and individuals 'With similar interests. There is a parallel here with the introduction of the telephone which revolutionized life within a city. People have learnt to project themselves through the telephone to increase the frequency of their contacts and overcome barriers of distance and cost of travel - the tele- phone is no longer considered as an 'inhuman', unnatural instrument. The changes envisaged may be expected to revolutionize the life of the global community in a similar manner.

The telephone, radio and television increased the ability of small powerful groups to influence and control larger groups of people. The new equipment will considerably increase this ability. New compensating social mechanisms will be required.

Influence of computers in commerce:

impacts of Computers in Business and Commerce ICT has the capacity to make a business more efficient, more cost effective and more responsive to the needs of its customers. ICT can assist business activities such as, research and development, design, manufacturing, marketing, distribution and sales and feedback. Research and Development: The computer based analysis for a product, which already exists, can provide vital information on the market for a new product to be launched. Also, certain programs can help new product designs, before a final design is made. Design: Computer Aided Design (CAD) software allows designers to create detailed designs for a product, which then can be emailed to the managers for a feedback. Then the final design can be made using Computer Assisted Manufacture (CAM). Manufacturing: The use of Computer Assisted Manufacture (CAM) software can help the specific and professional production of various components used for the final product itself. Marketing: Once the product is ready, direct mailing can be used (with the help of a mail merging software) to notify the existing customers, that a new product is being launched. The organization could create a web site advertising the product and to keep customers informed of current promotions available. Distribution: A stock control system such as just in time stocking can be used to ensure that supply meets demand.
