There are 6 basic types of e-commerce:
· Business-to-Business (B2B)
· Business-to-Consumer (B2C)
· Consumer-to-Consumer (C2C)
· Consumer-to-Business (C2B).
· Business-to-Administration (B2A)
· Consumer-to-Administration (C2A)
n Before Internet, B2B transactions called just trade or procurement process
n Total inter-firm trade: Total flow of value among firms
n B2B commerce: All types of computer-enabled inter-firm trade
n B2B e-commerce (Internet-based B2B commerce): That portion of B2B commerce that is enabled by the Internet
Business to consumer:
Business to consumer (B2C) refers to the transactions conducted directly between a company and consumers who are the end-users of its products or services. The business to consumer as a business model differs significantly from the business-to-business model, which refers to commerce between two or more businesses.
